Using microbial community behaviour as an inspiration to design novel antimicrobials

On One Health Day, Sybren was invited by the Leuven One Health Institute to talk about how social interactions between microbes can be used as an inspiration to develop novel antimicrobials. In his talk, Sybren highlighted all the research lines currently being explored at the MiCA lab, ranging from the development of sustainable anti-biofilm coatings to the use of probiotics to fight emerging pathogens.
