iSTRIDE kick-off meeting in Porto

On 15-16 September 2026, the partners and Doctoral Candidates of the iSTRIDE Doctoral Network gathered in Porto, Portugal, for the project's official kick-off meeting. The meeting marked the start of a four-year EU-funded Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network dedicated to understanding, diagnosing and preventing indwelling-device-associated infections. By bringing together expertise in microbiology, biomaterials and diagnostic technologies, iSTRIDE will train the next generation of researchers while developing innovative solutions to improve patient care.
